<b>Find your calling at Mercy!</b> <p></p>The House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of various patient care departments within the hospital. This role ensures efficient workflow, adherence to policies, and high-quality support services that contribute to excellent patient care. The House Supervisor supervises staff, coordinates activities, addresses issues as they arise, and maintains a safe and supportive environment.<br><br>Additional responsibilities include assisting in the day-to-day administrative functions of the nursing administration department, serving as a resource for EPIC support for nursing staff, wound care, patient admissions/discharges, inpatient diabetic education, bed planning, and staffing. The House Supervisor consults with the Chief Nurse Executive, physicians, nurse managers, and charge nurses on nursing issues and the interpretation/application of hospital and nursing services policies and procedures to ensure patient and staff needs are met.<br><br>This position also participates in performance improvement and CQI activities, collaborates on staff scheduling processes, and serves as the house-wide administrative representative in the absence of administrative leadership. All duties are performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.<p></p> <b>Position Details:</b> <p></p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><b>Education:</b> Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. </li><li><b>Experience:</b> Minimum of three years of current inpatient hospital nursing experience. </li><li><b>Licensure:</b> Current RN license in the applicable state of practice. </li><li><b>Certifications: </b><ul><li> BLS and ACLS required prior to first shift. </li><li> PALS, EKG, and NRP within 60 days of hire. </li><li> NIH within 60 days and annually. </li><li> ASLS within 6 months and every two years thereafter. </li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><b>Education:</b> Bachelor's degree in Nursing or advanced nursing education. </li><li><b>Experience:</b> Five years of hospital nursing experience; Critical Care experience preferred. </li></ul><p></p> <b>Why Mercy?</b> <p></p><p>From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.</p><p></p><p>Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
