<b>Find your calling at Mercy!</b> <p></p>Overview<br>Provides in home occupational therapy services to patients with neuromuscular, skeletal and perceptual disorders, under the direction of a physician.<p></p> <b>Position Details:</b> <p></p> <b>Occupational Therapist - Home Care</b> <b>24 hours per week, Days</b> <b>Mercy Hospital Jefferson</b> <b>Festus, MO 63028</b> <p></p><p>Provides in home physical therapy services to patients with neuro and/or musculoskeletal disorders, under the direction of a physician.</p><p></p><p><u>Qualifications:</u></p><ul><li><b>Education:</b> Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. </li><li><b>Licensure: </b> Current state license. Valid drivers license. </li><li><b>Experience: </b> Mini m um of one year of experience in acute, rehab, outpatient, home health or long term care setting required. </li><li><b>Certifications:</b> CPR certification. </li><li><b>Other: </b><ul><li> Employee possesses good assessment and treatment planning skills. </li><li> Employee is energetic, gets along well with others, has good time management and problem solving skills. </li><li> Employee possesses good communication and documentation skills. </li><li> Employee is in good physical health and able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently with occasional lifting of over 50 pounds. </li><li> Employee frequently will work independently and must be able to handle emergencies without assistance. </li><li> Employee adapts to and works effectively with change, takes initiative, sets challenging objectives and values and seeks opportunity to learn. </li><li> Employee may be required to drive in hazardous conditions; must be able to follow written or verbal instructions and read a map. </li><li> Employee must independently schedule patient visits in timely and efficient manner; checking in with office daily to update schedule. </li><li> Employee is assigned weekend and on-call rotation.Employee has regular contact with agency staff members, physicians, hospital staff, and general public. </li><li> Employee regularly handles confidential information. </li></ul></li><li><b>Preferred Experience: </b> Two years experience in acute care or home care preferred. </li></ul><p></p> <b>Why Mercy?</b> <p></p><p>From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.</p><p></p><p>Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
