<b>Find your calling at Mercy!</b> <p></p>Serves to support orientation, competency programs, in-service education, continuing education, academic partnerships, career development and role transition at the Unit level for Mercy coworkers.<p></p> <b>Position Details:</b> <p></p> Additional Job Description <b>Mercy South</b> <p> 10010 Kennerly Road </p><p> St. Louis, MO 63128 </p><p></p><p><b>Full Time - 40 hours/week</b></p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Develop and deliver onboarding and competency programs using evidence-based practices.</p></li><li><p>Create orientation and ongoing education plans for licensed and unlicensed staff.</p></li><li><p>Foster a positive learning environment and utilize diverse teaching strategies (simulation, mock events, case scenarios).</p></li><li><p>Partner with leadership and academic institutions to support education initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Serve as mentor, resource, and role model promoting excellence and safety.</p></li><li><p>Maintain proficiency in unit-specific skills, EMR systems, and technology tools.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with Mercy policies and assist with drills and education on knowledge gaps.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education</b></p><ul><li><p>If Bachelor's degree has been attained, 2 years' clinical experience is required. If Associate's degree is the highest level of degree attained, 10 years hospital nursing experience or 5 years' hospital nursing experience if active enrollment in a RN to BSN program.</p></li><li><p>Current appropriate state license if required in discipline.</p></li><li><p>AHA BLS provider. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Other Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Demonstrates clinical knowledge related to evidence-based practice with the credibility to positively influence the delivery of patient care.</li><li>Proven ability to organize and multitask to meet project deadlines. </li><li>Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
