Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. </li><li> <strong>Experience</strong>: Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred. </li><li> <strong>Licensure/Certification</strong>: ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required. Applicable state licensure as required, required. Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required. </li><li> <strong>Additional Skills/Requirements (required)</strong>: <ul><li> Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others. </li><li> Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws. </li><li> Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices. </li><li> Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs. </li><li> Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. </li><li> Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. </li><li> Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP's, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions. </li><li> Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates. </li></ul></li></ul> What You'll Do: <p> The Radiologic Technologist II works independently and/or assists physicians/APCs in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting.
