The Sonographer II plays a key role in supporting high-quality, safe, and compassionate care while performing advanced vascular ultrasound procedures.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong><br>The Sonographer II independently performs diagnostic vascular ultrasound exams, assisting physicians and advanced practice providers by preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, and producing high-quality images to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.</p> Education Requirements <ul><li><p><strong>Required:</strong> Graduate of an <strong>ARRT-approved</strong> or <strong>CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>Preferred:</strong> Associate Degree or higher</p></li></ul> Experience Requirements <ul><li><p><strong>Required:</strong> Minimum <strong>1 year of vascular sonography experience</strong></p></li></ul> Licensure & Certifications (Required) <ul><li><p>Active registration in <strong>one</strong> of the following:</p><ul><li><p>ARRT - Vascular Sonography (RT(S)(VS </p></li><li><p>ARDMS - RVT / RDMS (VT)</p></li><li><p>CCI - Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Current <strong>BLS</strong> certification (per Life Support Training Policy)</p></li></ul> Key Responsibilities <ul><li><p>Perform independent vascular ultrasound exams following established protocols</p></li><li><p>Obtain spectral Doppler waveforms and high-quality diagnostic images</p></li><li><p>Prepare and educate patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety</p></li><li><p>Accurately document exams and transfer images using EMR, RIS, and PACS</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with physicians and care teams to support timely diagnosis</p></li><li><p>Adhere to Novant Health's <strong>First Do No Harm</strong> safety behaviors and quality standards</p></li></ul> Skills & Qualifications <ul><li><p>Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently in diagnostic settings</p></li><li><p>Proficient with ultrasound equipment and basic computer systems</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and patient care skills</p></li><li><p>Adaptable to patients of all ages and clinical conditions</p></li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?W2DxsawsqoROZraMQGAhHJLG%2fJbwtgsEf" width="0" height="0" />
