Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.<p></p> <b>Position Details:</b> <p></p> <b>Co-worker Health RN - Mercy Hospital St. Louis</b> <p><b>Schedule:</b> Monday-Friday</p><p><b>No weekends or holidays!</b></p><p></p><p>Mercy Hospital South is seeking a dedicated <b>Co-worker Health Nurse</b> to join our team. This critical role supports the health and safety of our co-workers from day one, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting a culture of wellness throughout the organization.</p> <b>Key Responsibilities:</b> <ul><li><p>Serve as a primary health resource for all co-workers, starting with onboarding and continuing throughout their employment.</p></li><li><p>Plan, organize, and direct all activities of Co-worker Health Services in alignment with federal/state regulations and agency requirements.</p></li><li><p>Conduct comprehensive health assessments for new hires, including drug screening, medical history review, lab work, chest x-rays (if indicated), and immunization verification.</p></li><li><p>Administer and manage the TB skin screening program in compliance with state guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Perform respirator fit testing and training as needed.</p></li><li><p>Promote and administer annual influenza and other vaccines, ensuring co-workers are informed about contraindications, side effects, and precautions.</p></li><li><p>Provide first aid and follow-up care for on-the-job injuries, collaborating with departments and supervisors to support recovery and return-to-work plans.</p></li><li><p>May serve as Workers' Compensation coordinator, managing injury documentation, treatment facilitation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Maintain strict confidentiality of all co-worker health records and sensitive information.</p></li><li><p>Compile and present monthly and annual reports to support compliance with Joint Commission, state health departments, and other regulatory bodies.</p></li><li><p>Stay current on Co-worker Health trends and regulations, updating policies and procedures accordingly.</p></li><li><p>Participate in and support wellness, needlestick safety, and environmental safety committees.</p></li><li><p>Uphold Mercy's mission, values, and service standards in all interactions and duties.</p></li><li><p>Communicate effectively through clear, concise verbal and written updates related to co-worker health operations.</p></li><li><p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p></li></ul> <b>Qualifications:</b> <ul><li><p><b>Education:</b> Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN)</p></li><li><p><b>Licensure:</b> Current Missouri nursing license (LPN or RN)</p></li><li><p><b>Experience:</b> Minimum of 2 years in a hospital or clinical setting</p></li><li><p><b>Certifications:</b> BLS certification required</p></li></ul><p></p> <b>Why Mercy?</b> <p></p><p>From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.</p><p></p><p>Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
