<p><strong>Organizational Overview</strong></p><p>National Covenant Properties (NCP) is a $400 million church extension fund, which operates as a financial ministry</p><p>affiliate of The Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) denomination. NCP provides investment products to members of</p><p>Covenant churches and offers lending and real estate services solutions to local congregations and affiliated</p><p>organizations as they seek to expand their facilities and ministries. NCP is looking to add a new position of Chief</p><p>Lending Officer to lead the underwriting, lending, loan portfolio management and the real estate consulting</p><p>initiatives to churches and other organizations affiliated with The Evangelical Covenant Church.</p><p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>As the Chief Lending Officer, you will have the chance to create meaningful impact, influence the world around you,</p><p>and join a team whose values align with your own. The Chief Lending Officer reports directly to the President of NCP and will partner with the</p><p>executive management team to develop and implement the appropriate lending products and services. The Chief</p><p>Lending Officer will lead and mentor the lending and real estate services team, oversee the lending business</p><p>development, the underwriting and credit analysis of loan applications, and the loan portfolio risk profile and loan</p><p>management efforts of NCP.</p><p>Essential</p><br/><br/><p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><p>A qualified candidate will be a seasoned member of the executive team advancing NCP's mission within the policies</p><p>and procedures established by the Board of Directors and President of NCP. Critical and essential responsibilities of</p><p>this role include:</p><p>• Engage with NCP President, the Relationship Management Team, regional Conference leadership, as well as</p><p>CEOs and CFOs of affiliated Covenant entities on financial matters relating to real estate transactions and NCP</p><p>financing.</p><p>• Participate in the development of the organization's strategic plans and implementation of resulting initiatives</p><p>and other assignment from the President of NCP.</p><p>• Collaborate with the President of NCP to align lending activities with the organization's broader strategic goals.</p><p>• Serve as an advisor to the Board of Directors of NCP.</p><p>• Coach, lead, motivate, and mentor the relationship management team, fostering a positive environment and</p><p>ensuring a customer centric, high standard of service delivery while achieving the mission and loan growth and</p><p>loan quality objectives of NCP.</p><p>• Actively participate in strategic relationship management with existing and prospective constituents.</p><p>• Collaborate with key stakeholders on approvals, strategy development and implementation and/or concept</p><p>development that improves or enhances NCP's mission and positioning.</p><p>• Participate in marketing and communication efforts that increase awareness and engagement of church</p><p>constituency with NCP investment opportunities.</p><p>• Collaborate with the executive management on developing and implementing sound and pertinent IT,</p><p>technological and security programs and processes, cybersecurity initiatives, and internal controls.</p><p>• Provide guidance to congregations and individuals on the developments and preparation of NCP loan</p><p>application packets. Gather, analyze, and interpret financial information for NCP leadership and key</p><p>constituency.</p><p>• Deliver consultation to churches and their leadership on facility design, location searches and property</p><p>developments including the review of leases, purchase or sale agreements or other real estate contracts.</p><p>• Monitor and advise on real estate trends and market analysis within the 11 regions NCP provides its services.</p><p>• Formulate reports, proposals, and additional presentations, as warranted to facilitate engagement of</p><p>stakeholders.</p><p>• Engage in a professional, hospitable, and courteous manner in NCP's electronic, phone and in-person</p><p>communication.</p><p>• Other duties as assigned by President.</p><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><p>Required: Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or accounting, or equivalent combination of education</p><p>and experience. At least ten (10) years of related banking and financial services experience, including management</p><p>of financial staff, extensive working knowledge of and/or involvement in banking, the commercial real estate</p><p>lending field, financial analysis, and general management of financial investments. High proficiency in computer</p><p>and internet technology. Expert knowledge and experience with standard and not-for-profit accounting principles</p><p>along with a high level of customer service emphasis. As all investment products offered by NCP are legally</p><p>considered "securities," the candidate must be able to hold a minimum of a Series 63 Securities License (or received</p><p>within the first 90 days of employment). Preferred: Personal engagement with the Evangelical Covenant Church.</p><p>Personal Skills and Characteristics</p><p>• Personal and demonstrated Christian faith. Personal membership in a Covenant church is strongly encouraged.</p><p>• Willingness to fully support the mission and ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church at the denominational,</p><p>regional conference and local congregational levels, as well as affiliated entities and ministries.</p><p>• Demonstrated leadership skills, with proven ability to lead complex organizations and experience managing and</p><p>developing high-performance team and driving growth in a changing environment.</p><p>• Effectively communicates in written and verbal forms in person and via communication mediums.</p><p>• Works well under pressure and is able to accurately accomplish multiple tasks, with conflicting priorities and</p><p>timelines. Ability to track and report progress on a wide range of tasks, queries, requests simultaneously.</p><p>• Uses critical thinking skills to exercise discretion and independent judgement, applying logic and reasoning to</p><p>identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to address</p><p>challenges.</p><p>• Self-starter and ability to work independently.</p><p>• Excellent management and people skills to embrace diversity of schedules, backgrounds, formats, contexts, etc.</p><p>• Capable of managing stress by accepting criticism, engaging in conflict resolution, dealing calmly and effectively</p><p>with high stress situations. Maintains flexibility in approach and adjusts actions when appropriate.</p><p>• Mastery of Office 365 and other analytic tools. Working knowledge of Microsoft and Windows applications,</p><p>CRM databases and management, and web technologies.</p><p>• Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills are evident.</p><p>• Excels in attention to detail with high level of accuracy in preparation of financial transactions, written</p><p>documents, reports, and correspondence. Good understanding of GAAP standards and practices.</p><p>• A team player that ensures caring and excellent customer service to all stakeholders.</p><p>• Ability to operate with discretion and confidentiality at all times, especially related to information security and</p><p>account holder's personal identifiable information.</p><p><strong>Environment Conditions</strong></p><p>Able to work well in professional office setting, occasionally work remotely as well as evenings and weekends.</p><p>Frequently travel domestically, up to 25-35%. Must be versatile and able to work for prolonged segments sitting or</p><p>standing.
