Overview: Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and</li> <li>Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required </li></ul><b>Work Experience</b><ul><li>3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or</li> <li>In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience.
