<p><b>Description</b> </p> <p><b>Specialization:</b><br />Internal Medicine<br /></p><p><b>Job Summary:</b></p><strong>4 th Year Chief Resident (Junior Faculty)</strong><br>HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking PGY-4 Chief Residents for its GME Internal Medicine Continuity Clinic. We are seeking candidates with a broad knowledge base, desire for medical education, excellent presentation skills, and dedication to a collaborative environment. The PGY-4 Chief Resident positions are a one-year experience that offers a unique blend of education, patient care, and administration while providing opportunity for developing and enhancing clinical, teaching and administrative skills, leadership ability, and personal growth. <br><br><strong><u>Responsibilities include:</u></strong><ul><li>Supervising residents in the outpatient clinic setting</li><li>Teaching residents in a formal didactic setting</li><li>Assisting program leadership with day-to-day administrative duties </li></ul><strong>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong><ul><li>Direct patient care duties including precepting residents and medical students in the clinic as well as supervision of residents. </li><li>Assisting the Program Director with administrative duties, as well as participation in academic didactic sessions. </li><li>Opportunity to develop his/her clinical and personal leadership style, and gain skills involved in administration, management, and communication.</li><li>Provide patient care for patients in the continuity clinic</li><li>Residents must abide by all of the basic standards for residency training in Internal Medicine provided by the ACGME.</li></ul><strong>Requirements:</strong><ul><li>Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program</li><li>Board eligible for the ABIM</li></ul><strong>About Citrus Hospital:</strong><ul><li>204-bed hospital founded in 1957 as the area's first healthcare institution for residents in Citrus and surrounding counties.</li><li>Today, part of HCA West Florida network, offering the latest medical technologies and treatments.</li><li>Numerous accolades including America's 50 Best for Vascular Surgery (Healthgrades), Advanced Primary Stroke Center and America's 100 Best for Spine Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery (Healthgrades).</li><li>Other key services include the Cardiovascular Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynecology.</li></ul><br>Situated on Florida's Nature Coast, Citrus County boasts a growing business community, a top-rated school system and charming communities nestled into beautiful backdrops.
