This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging and accurate documentation standards. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.</p><ul><li>Operates all relevant imaging equipment, capture high-quality diagnostic images across various machines, and review and verify images for clarity and completeness before submission for interpretation.</li><li>Prepares, positions, and transfers patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any concerns, and providing radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.</li><li>Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician and within the guidelines of the Radiology Department/Health System policies.</li><li>Manages and updates images and patient records completely and accurately in PACS (picture archival communication system) </li><li>Schedules radiology examinations correctly.</li><li>Charges for supplies accurately</li><li>Assists the radiologists and physicians in performing radiology procedures and locating films and reports in the Radiology Department.</li><li>Completes all required continuing education.</li><li>Performs clerical duties, as needed.</li><li>Other duties as directed.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.</li><li>Experience: no experience required</li><li>Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.</li><li>Certification/Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry or registry eligible. Achieved ARRT registry within 6 months of hire.
