ommercial bankruptcy practice focused on
Chapter 11 and federal bankruptcy matters.
Salary and Benefits - Salary ranges from $80,000 - $125,000 DOE

Practice & Team Overview • Collegial, professional, and highly supportive team environment
• Practice has evolved from trustee?focused work to
complex commercial litigation and Chapter 11 bankruptcies • Client base consists primarily of
corporate clientsCore Responsibilities • Provide substantial support on
Chapter 11 commercial bankruptcies • Paralegal will support
two partners handling sophisticated federal bankruptcy matters
• Assist with
first?day hearings, including:
- Drafting pleadings and notices
- Creating PowerPoint presentations and demonstratives
- Draft, process, and file bankruptcy?related documents
- Perform fact investigation and legal research
- Manage dockets, calendars, and case files
- Obtain credit reports and assist with Proofs of Claim
- Prepare hearing notebooks (motions, notices, orders, exhibits)
- Maintain electronic databases and project folders
- Assist with required mailings
- Proactively anticipate attorney needs and manage workflow
- Participate in internal CLEs and stay current on legal technology
- Mentor junior paralegals or paralegal assistants as needed
- Assist with adoption of legal AI tools
Experience & Requirements •
Minimum 10 years of experience supporting commercial bankruptcy attorneys
•
Texas Law firm experience required • Strong familiarity with
law firm billing fundamentals (training not provided)
• Annual billable requirement:
approximately 1,500 hours •
Associate's degree required • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
• Significant substantive experience may substitute for formal education at the firm's discretion
