Job Description

Harper Consulting Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) to support active construction projects at LAX. The CHST will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring OSHA and airport safety compliance, conducting daily site inspections, and working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and airport personnel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections and audits onsite

• Enforce OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements

• Monitor PPE compliance and safe work practices

• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings

• Complete and submit daily safety reports and documentation

• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions

• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and airport operations

• Identify and address potential jobsite hazards

• Support active construction operations within secure airport environments

• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, project teams, and field personnel

• Work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Current CHST Certification required

• OSHA 30 Certification required

• Construction safety experience required

• Airport construction experience preferred

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

• Ability to complete daily safety reports and project documentation

• Ability to work well with others and build professional relationships

• Ability to obtain and maintain LAX badging/access credentials
