We have an exciting opportunity for you to join TriStar Summit Medical Center which is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.</p> <p></p> Job Summary and Qualifications <p></p><p></p><p></p><p>The CT Tech performs CT scans, providing the highest level of customer service and image quality.</p><p>What You Will Do in This Role:</p><p></p><ul><li>You will perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.</li><li>You will prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.</li><li>You will take patient history and retrieve any necessary orders or prior images.</li><li>You will provide patient history, signs, and symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist.</li><li>You will appropriately complete documentation.</li><li>You will coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.</li><li>You will support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.</li><li>You will inform patients about procedures and answer questions.</li><li>You will interact and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.</li><li>You will start IVs for contrast administration.</li><li>You will use the power injector.</li><li>You will contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.</li><li>You will maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in job qualifications.</li><li>You will handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc.).</li><li>You will promote customer service initiatives by adhering to the ICARE values.</li><li>You will support and participate in quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.</li><li>You will comply with quarterly targeted metrics (i.e., Kronos, HealthStream, PACS, etc.).</li><li>You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.</li><li>You will perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>What Qualifications You Will Need</p><p></p><ul><li>Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.</li><li>Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.</li><li>1 year post-graduate experience preferred.</li><li>BLS certification required.</li></ul> <p></p> <p></p> Benefits <p></p><p>TriStar Summit Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
