Our practice includes wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, PAGA matters, class actions, and other workplace litigation.
We are looking for an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary who understands the urgency, detail, and procedural demands of employment litigation. This role is a strong fit for someone who can manage litigation deadlines, support attorneys with complex filings and discovery, and keep cases moving from inception through resolution.

Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary with a background in employment litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong civil litigation experience and the ability to support attorneys handling employment defense matters from inception through judgment.
Responsibilities include:
• Prepare, revise, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery, subpoenas, deposition notices, mediation briefs, trial documents, and other litigation materials.
• File documents in California State and Federal Courts, including e-filing and service.
• Calendar litigation deadlines, court hearings, discovery deadlines, depositions, mediations, motion deadlines, trial dates, and employment litigation-specific deadlines.
• Support attorneys in employment matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, PAGA, class actions, and related claims.
• Assist with discovery, including preparing shells, organizing document production, coordinating responses, and tracking deadlines.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, client meetings, expert meetings, court appearances, and internal case strategy meetings.
• Maintain litigation files from inception through judgment, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, court notices, deposition materials, and trial documents.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, vendors, witnesses, and experts.
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit lists, witness lists, subpoenas, trial binders, pre-trial filings, and case materials.
• Provide high-level litigation support to attorneys handling active employment defense caseloads.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of litigation legal secretary experience preferred.
• Employment litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, PAGA, or class action matters is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of California State Court procedures and e-filing requirements.
• Federal Court filing experience preferred.
• Strong calendaring skills and knowledge of litigation deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and legal document management systems.
• Excellent organization, proofreading, communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple active litigation matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Trial preparation experience preferred.
