Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Medical Malpractice & GL Associate with the ability to work from home unless appearing in Court. The role involves managing and litigating complex medical malpractice and general liability cases, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and collaborating with clients, colleagues, and medical professionals. The role also includes preparing for depositions, court appearances, and trials while ensuring a thorough understanding of medical issues related to the cases. Must have strong writing, research and organizational skills, be a self starter with significant growth potential into trial work. Mast have 5+ years or relevant experience and solid references.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Medicine, discovery, Westlaw research and its application in legal contexts
• 5+ years of relevant defense litigation experience, deposition, motions and court appearances.
• Knowledge of treatment protocols and medical standards of care
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law in New York State
• Exceptional analytical, research, and legal writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines within a collaborative team environment
• Must be able to work independently meeting deadlines and be detail oriented
