Job DetailsNational Construction Manager (Remote + Travel)
We are seeking a National Construction Manager to lead the delivery of complex, multi-site infrastructure, and energy projects across the United States. This role oversees construction execution within an integrated engineering consulting environment supporting utilities, public sector clients, and commercial/industrial facilities. The firm provides end-to-end services including engineering, program management, and construction management for energy, infrastructure, and building systems projects nationwide.
Duties
- Lead National Construction Programs across multiple concurrent projects (energy, infrastructure, facilities)
- Oversee construction managers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to specification
- Manage all phases of construction including planning, procurement, execution, and closeout
- Drive consistency in safety, quality, and project controls across regions
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and program teams on design-build and retrofit projects
- Provide executive-level reporting on schedule, cost, and risk
- Construction management roles in similar firms include full lifecycle oversight, subcontractor coordination, and schedule/cost control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management
- 15+ years of experience in construction management, EPC, or engineering consulting environments
- Experience managing multi-site or national programs
Preferred Certifications
- PE, Professional Engineering License
- PMP, Project Management Professional
- CCM, Certified Construction Manager
Technical Tools / Systems
- Project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Cost control & reporting tools (Excel-based or enterprise systems)
- Familiarity with BIM / construction documentation platforms (e.g., Autodesk, Bluebeam)
Compensation
- $225,000 - $275,000+ base salary
- Performance bonus and long-term incentive potential
