You'll work together with Physical Therapy Assistants to treat patients of all ages and abilities.<p></p><p><b>How you grow, learn and thrive matters here.</b><br />• Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities<br />• Staff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern)<br />• Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications and various lead roles (for eligible positions)<br />• Malpractice liability insurance<br />• Loan forgiveness through the New Mexico Higher Education Department <br />• EPIC electronic charting system</p> Type of Opportunity: PRN FTE: 0.00 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: Days (United States of America) <p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data.</li><li>Basic computer skills required.</li><li>Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting</li><li>Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.</li><li>Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served</li><li>Oversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient</li><li>Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.</li><li>Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.</li><li>Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.</li><li>Is a patient advocate.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li><li>Pediatric Physical Therapist the following also apply:</li><li>Evaluate and treat infants, children, and adolescents for various health conditions. Addressing motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, gait, etc.</li><li>Interviewing children and family members, using physical examination to diagnose movement disorder.</li><li>Ability to evaluate and treat patient from 18yrs old and older.</li><li>Float to adult units if needed if pediatric patient census fluctuates.</li><li>Evaluates and treats pediatric patients from birth to 18yrs old, regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.</li><li>Settings include inpatient and inpatient emergency department.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Less than one year of experience in physical therapy.</li><li>New graduates are encouraged to apply.</li><li>Bachelor's degree required.</li><li>Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred.</li><li>NM License of Physical Therapy required.</li><li>BLS required at time of hire.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>We're all about well-being, starting with yours.</b><br />Presbyterian employees have access to a fun, engaging and unique wellness program, including free on-site and community-based gyms, nutrition coaching and classes, mindfulness and meditation resources, wellness challenges and more.<br /><br /> Learn more about our employee benefits. <br /><br /><b>About Presbyterian Healthcare Services</b><br /></p><p>Presbyterian exists to improve the health of patients, members, and the communities we serve.
