This opportunity offers a collaborative environment within a Level IV Trauma Center, ideal for providers who enjoy a lower-volume setting with a broad scope of care.Assignment Details:Start Date: June/July 2026Contract Length: 6 months to start, with potential for extensionSchedule:68 shifts per month12-hour shiftsDays or nights available (based on provider preference)Practice Setting:Level IV Trauma Center9 ED patient rooms + 5 vertical care chairsPatient Care Unit for acute and chronic conditions (no traditional ICU)EMR: E-Clinical WorksPatient Volume: 12 patients per hourKey Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive emergency medical care across a range of patient needsPerform trauma care, respiratory and cardiac interventions, and standard ED proceduresDeliver specialized forensic care when neededCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a community-based settingQualifications:Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)Active North Carolina medical licenseDEA certification requiredCurrent ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS certificationsCompensation & Benefits:Competitive hourly rate: $300$325/hourMileage reimbursement providedLodging available with prior approval (all-inclusive options may be considered based on provider needs)Additional Information:Potential for ongoing coverage beyond the initial assignmentIdeal candidate is adaptable, flexible, and comfortable in a lower-volume emergency department
