New Transplant Surgery Locums Job in North Carolina Weekend Call Coverage Ongoing

This is a great opportunity with one of our clients in North Carolina. We are contracted with a medical facility in search of a highly skilled Transplant Surgeon to assist with their weekend call coverage needs. Ideal candidates should have fellowship training in transplant surgery, be board certified in general surgery, and have at least 5 years of experience.

Details/Requirements for Assignment :
Active North Carolina license required
Board Certification required
Call coverage: 1 weekend per month Friday 7am Monday 7am
Not required to remain on site while on call
Average patients per day: 8-12 with resident coverage
Average admissions per day: 0-3
Average admissions per night: 0-1
Average surgical cases per month: 10-12 transplants
Does not respond to codes
Does not serve as back up in the ER
BLS, ACLS required from AHA

Procedures: Deceased donor renal transplant, deceased donor simultaneous kidney/pancreas, review and accept organ offers
