<p><b>Position Highlights</b></p><ul><li><b>Department:</b> Urgent Care Old Saybrook</li><li><b>Work Schedule: </b>Per Diem</li></ul><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p> </p><p> Performs imaging procedures for patients in Urgent Care environment to ensure high-quality patient care. May also perform tasks of Medical Assistant as needed. </p><br><p><b>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</b></p><p> </p><p> Under general supervision or direction: </p><br><ul><li><p> Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures and in accordance with the health system policies, protocols and standards. </p></li><li><p> Demonstrates proficiency in the operation of all relevant equipment and computer systems. </p></li><li><p> Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and interview patients to identify chief complaints. </p></li><li><p> Ensures proper documentation as needed in the EMR system. </p></li><li><p> Uses initiative, good judgment and technical expertise to perform a wide-range of imaging procedures. </p></li><li><p> Applies the principles of teamwork in all aspects of providing patient services. </p></li></ul><p> Other Responsibilities: </p><ul><li><p> Adheres to all Core Values (Compassion, Pursue Excellence, Cooperation and Collaboration, Upholds Honesty, and Supports Innovation). </p></li><li><p> Adheres to all Absolutes (Privacy and Confidentiality, Professional Appearance, and Responsibility and Commitment). </p></li><li><p> Other job related duties as assigned. </p></li></ul> <br><p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><br><ul><li><p> Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program </p></li><li><p> ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing </p></li><li><p> State of Connecticut License/Eligible </p></li><li><p> Good judgment and problem solving skills with the ability to function independently and make decisions </p></li><li><p> Good organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks/projects simultaneously required </p></li></ul><br><p> <b>Preferred Qualifications</b> </p><ul><li><p> Three to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB etc) required. </p></li><li><p> Bachelor degree or equivalent experience </p></li><li><p> Demonstrated competency in imaging modalities </p></li><li><p> Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to interact positively with all levels of health care workers and guests required </p></li><li><p> Flexibility and teamwork to ensure positive patient care </p></li><li><p> Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets </p></li></ul> <br><p><b>Comprehensive Benefits Offered</b></p><ul><li>Competitive and affordable benefits package</li><li>Shift Differentials</li><li>Continuing Education assistance</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li><li>Student Loan relief through Fiducius</li><li>Quick commute access from I-84, Route 9 and surrounding areas</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>About Middlesex Health</b></p><p>The Smarter Choice for your Career!</p><p>Come join one of Connecticut's Top Workplaces, and a Magnet designated organization!
