<b> <b>Job Description</b> </b><br><br><b>Join our exceptional team of nurses and make a lasting impact.</b><br><br>Saint Luke's Community Hospitals in Kansas are hiring experienced <b>Medical Surgical Intermediate and Emergency Department RNs.</b> In this critical role, you'll serve as the lead RN, working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team to deliver outstanding care to patients with diverse acuity levels.<br><br><b><b>Shifts: Days, Mids, Nights, PRN</b></b><br><br><b><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></b><br><ul><li>Deliver comprehensive nursing care.</li><li>Perform triage, assessments, and direct patient care.</li><li>Collaborate across clinical and administrative teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.</li><li>Lead care coordination and act as a clinical role model in the department.</li></ul>Demonstrate ability to mange care within the established standards of nursing care and practice as defined by the state.<br>Appropriately triage patient and prioritizes needs, displaying a caring and responsive attitude.<br>Initiate care to stabilize patient and assist in managing life support needs by collaborating with physician and clinical staff, demonstrating appropriate admission, discharge and transfer procedures.<br>Collect detailed patient history and symptoms, including vital signs, providing appropriate care in a timely and cost-effective manner.<br>Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established polices and procedures.<br>Report adverse treatments or medications in accordance with current policies and procedures.<br>Prepare patient meals.<br>Participates in QAPI activities including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards.<br><br><b><b>Qualifications:</b></b><br><ul><li><b>Kansas RN license (or compact)</b></li><li><b>3 years of acute care RN experience preferred</b></li></ul><b><b>Why BJC Health System?</b></b><br><ul><li><b>Competitive compensation</b></li><li><b>Tuition reimbursement</b></li><li><b>Comprehensive health benefits</b></li><li><b>Retirement contributions</b></li><li><b>Clinical Advancement Program</b> with opportunities for professional growth</li></ul>We value our nurses as clinical experts and compassionate caregivers.
