Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Position Highlights:

• Schedule: 3 weekends per month
  • Friday 5:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM
• Start Date: May 10
• Ongoing contract
• 24-hour call shifts
• Average callback: 4 hours per day (including rounding)

Practice Details:

• Hospital-based setting
• Patient population: Adults (18+) including adolescents and geriatrics
• Cases include urgent surgical needs (cath lab to OR when necessary)
• Patients typically transition from ICU to home
• Surgeon available for backup after consult
• EMR: Epic
• Procedures include vein harvesting

Requirements:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Pennsylvania license (or willingness to obtain)
• DEA required
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Acute care certification not required
